Defragging is a big no no regardless whether its a new or old SSD.TRIM is what SSD's use to optimize themselves, which is automatic.so you could format if you had to.however that should only be a last resort if you get tired of trying to figure out whats wrong.Also from what I understand alot of people have been having issues with Big Picture mode streaming, I only do desktop.Now what I also think you should try is this.
